Everyone always wants money or gift cards as a gift because it is so easy and you can't go wrong. HOWEVER, as a lover of giving gifts, money and gift cards are SO boring! I just had to spice up giving money as a gift and this money holder project is the PERFECT way to do it!

Materials:

Steps:

1. Design

Design your money holder in Cricut Design Space. Follow this link here to view this project in Cricut Design Space. Feel free to make it your own by keeping the template but changing the image!

*Make sure you flatten your design and that it is set to "print-then-cut".*

2. Print and Cut

Next, you will have print out your design using your inkjet printer and have your machine cut out your design. Super easy on your part as you pretty much just get to sit back and watch. If you are new to print-then-cut, check out this blog to learn how to calibrate your machine.

3. Assembly

Now it is time to assemble your money holder!

Start by removing your cut designs from the mat.

Next, we will glue our plastic chapstick container to the printed design sheet. Add glue to the edges of the plastic and then place your design on top so that the rounded part of the tube is sticking out of the cut out.

*If you are using printable vinyl or something that "sticks" you can skip the glue if you feel like it is secure enough.

Then you will roll your money and add to the inside of the container.
*You can wrap the money around a pencil to making rolling the money easier.
Next, we will add the backer to keep the money in place by glueing the top sheet (printed) to a plain piece of card stock.

4. Finished
That is all, now you have a fun gift that anyone is sure to love! It is super easy to customize depending on the season, holiday or occasion. Or you can totally make it match the personality of the person you are giving it to!
We also have a tutorial on how to make these by using pens and the drawing feature! Check that one out here.
