Here is a quick and simple way to make a little love note!
Leave a love note in a lunch box, a jacket pocket or other hiding places so your special someone finds them throughout the day…
The heart is not cut out completely, so using an
X-acto Knife, carefully ‘finish’ the cut so your heart pops out. (Be Careful!)
Now you can add a pop of color by choosing a fun patterned paper and adhering it behind your cut out heart shape.
Next cut out the same love note shape, but this time use the ‘shadow’ feature. Cut this out just slightly larger than your original image (3.7″).
Next I added a little detail with my
White Gel Pen. I highlighted the little envelope slits that we cut by the machine and then added some stitching detail around my heat.
On the back side of my love note I used the
My Minds Eye ‘Love Me Love’ paper and, using the same size as my last ‘shadow’ cut, cut the reverse image out. The notebook style was perfect for writing your message on.
*The reverse image is where you horizontally flip your image so it watched up with the back side. It the little edit paned on your
Cricut Machine*
It looks like this…
Your reverse cut shape should line up exactly with the back side of my love note. Use adhesive of choice and carefully line it up with the card.
Lastly I added the heart that I cut out earlier and popped it up with a
Pop Dot… and again added some
White Gel Pen stitching detail.
Now decide what little love note you’d like to write.
I love handwritten notes! Even thought there are some wonderful cards out there, a handwritten note always means a littler bit more coming from the heart.
WHERE WOULD YOU HIDE A LOVE NOTE???
