So-Easy 6 Step Pledge Glitter Ornaments

Shop the Project

Step 1: Gather Your Supplies

Pledge Wood Floor Finish (Blue Cap!)
Clear Ornaments
Glitter
Funnel

Step 2

Remove the cap from the ornament. Squirt about a tablespoon of the Pledge into the ornament and SWIRL it around, coating the entire inside surface of the ornament. Pour the excess Pledge back into the bottle.

Step 3

Fashion a funnel from a sheet of paper and use it to direct glitter inside the ornament. We found that fine glitter worked better than chunky.

Step 4

Swirl the glitter around…Oooooo! Eeeeeee! AHHHHHH! (You can shake it, but cover your hole with a paper towel and finger if you do.)

Step 5

Pour any excess glitter back into the container.

Step 6

Put the cap back on the ornament and tada! They are SO EASY and beautiful!

I have made these for several years & haven’t had problems with the glitter coming off. My suggestion is don’t wait too long after pouring the excess polish out of the ornament, it may start to dry if the glitter isn’t poured in as soon as you can.
I have used both plastic & glass with no problem. Plastic may be better though if kids are doing this project. Glass might break if tapped or bumped.

I loved this and it worked for a bit but the glitter started to fall after a couple of days especially if bumped

This looks like a quick and easy craft. I am looking for something easy and safe to do with children 6-12 virtually.
