Reversed Canvas with Cricut Iron-on Vinyl
I have seen these all over Pinterest and just had to give it a go. It was a lot easier than I thought it was going to be and I just love the end result. These are so professional looking and would make great personalized gifts.
Supplies:
Cricut
Cricut tools
Cricut EasyPress
Iron-on Vinyl
Blank Art Canvas
Wood Stain
Brush
Pliers
Flat Head Screwdriver
Hot Glue Gun
Scissors
I started with taking the staples out of the canvas. I used a flat head screwdriver first to pry them up a little and then used the pliers to take them out completely.
After all of the staples were out I stained the frame.
I then measure the square inside the frame. I went to Design Space and made a square the same size. I then created the design to fit in that square.
Then I cut the design out of Iron-on Vinyl and weeded it. Don’t forget to mirror when working with iron-on!
Using an EasyPress I transferred the design to the center of the canvas. I always check the Cricut Heat Guide for directions on temperature and time. Allow to cool and peel the backing off.
Then I hot glue the frame to the canvas and cut the excess canvas.
There ya go! Super simple but makes such an impactful décor piece. Think of all the possibilities!
