Directions:
Create your cut design in Cricut Design Space or go directly to this project. Design Space makes it easy to create custom sticker labels, while a variety of Cricut vinyl options allow you to personalize candle wraps and add dazzling faux gems. I'm using the following cut designs included with Cricut Access:
- Bickley Script Com Font
- Circle Frame #M3F94E790
- Happy Birthday #M421DCA06
- Label #M4AD6B3BA
- Letter #M505A4B93
- Box #M33651
- Doily #M4578D
Make the project:
- Cut the treat boxes from heavy scrapbook paper.
- Draw and then cut the labels from white sticker paper.
- Cut the candle wraps and faux gems from your choice of Cricut vinyl. I'm using patterned and holographic options from my vinyl stash. Or cut the candle wraps from your choice of scrapbook paper.
- Cut the doily from heavy scrapbook paper.
Candle Wraps
The vinyl candle wraps are applied to inexpensive jar candles from the dollar store. Measure the circumference of your candle and size the vinyl wrap accordingly. My candles measured about 8 inches tall and 7 inches around. The final vinyl wraps were about 5x7 inches with a wavy top and bottom edge. If you make the wraps from vinyl, go ahead and cut them to fit precisely to your candle's circumference - with no to very little overlap when applied to the candle. If you opt to make your wraps using scrapbook paper instead, be sure to add 1/2 - 1 inch overlap to allow for adhering one end of the wrap over the other using craft glue or double stick tape.
Apply the cut vinyl candle wrap to the jar candle using your hands - no transfer tape needed! Center the wrap on the height of the candle and press it to the jar using your fingers to adhere. Place a sticker label in the center of the wrap.
Cut a piece of transfer tape a little larger than the circle of faux gem vinyl and move the cut vinyl to the transfer tape. Use the tape to apply the faux gems to the outside edge of the sticker label.
Treat Boxes
Fold the treat boxes along the score lines as shown.
Place a sticker label in the center of the wrap. As described above, use transfer tape to apply the faux gems to the outside edge of the sticker label.
Assemble the boxes using craft glue or double stick tape and fill with goodies for your guests.
Bottle Wraps
Cut a strip of left over cardstock 1-2 inches wide. Wrap the strip around the bottle (covering the label if possible). Overlap the ends of the cardstock strip and secure the strip in place using craft glue or double stick tape. Cover the seam where the ends overlap using a sticker label.
