I Love Lucy! Butterfly Baby Shower Card.

 I love Lucy! No…not that Lucy…my soon to be baby niece Lucy!

  I have been a busy little bee crafting away and working on tons of cute baby shower projects! The shower is this weekend and, first things first, I needed a CARD!

Although my sister knows she is having a girl, she is very anti-pink at the moment and is trying very hard to stay pretty ‘neutral’ with all things baby. I actually thought about doing an ALL pink card just to tease her, but I figured I should be nice…

 

 The card is pretty simple. I started with a white cardstock A2 size card and added a solid block of charcoal grey Silhouette Adhesive Backed Cardstock. Then I chose a few textured and patterned papers to layer on top of the grey for contrast. The middle layer is a light ‘minty’ green piece of the silhouette adhesive backed paper, chevron embossed, and sanded. If you haven’t seen me use this technique before, check it out here.

For some finishing touches I added some stitching rub-ons and a beautiful glitter die cut butterfly I had in my crafting stash. I curled the wings of the butterfly with a pencil, added some Sparkle Lightz and added it to my card using a large Pop Dot!
