How to Make a DIY Grandkids Make Life Grand Rustic Sign
It's time to start thinking about Christmas Gifts! An easy Christmas Gift to make for the proud grandparent in your life is this quick Rustic Grandkids Make Life Grand Sign. Not only can it be a Christmas Gift, but for birthdays as well!
Materials:

For this project, I bought my sign from Hobby Lobby already distressed. If you have a sign that needs to be distressed, grabbing some sand paper and gently rubbing on the sign will create this rustic look.
Step 1:
Open Design Space and select New Project. Then, select the Images tab and search for:

Add this image to your canvas.
Step 2:
Resize the image to the size accordingly. Click the unlock button to adjust your size. I chose to not add the heart design underneath. To remove this, you can click the hide icon on the layer to the right.
Step 3:
After resizing, click the Make It button in the top right corner. Select Smart Permanent Vinyl as your material and default for the pressure. You are now ready to cut your vinyl!
Step 4:
You can cut down your vinyl to two pieces or just one. I cut mine into two separate pieces to make it easier for applying the vinyl to the sign since it is a bigger design.

Weed the vinyl by using the weeder tool to peel the vinyl.
Step 7:
Peel the transfer tape and leave the sticky side up. Put one end of the vinyl along with the transfer tape and place it tight with the tape.
Step 8:
When both strips have the backing removed, apply the vinyl to the sign and remove the transfer tape.
After the vinyl has been applied, your sign is finished! This sign only took about 30 mins to make and is a great gift for Christmas.
