DIY Kids Forest Animal Party Supplies Using Cricut
Who doesn't love a good forest animal party? And what better way to make it extra special than by creating your own adorable party supplies with a Cricut machine? In this blog post, we'll show you how to make cute and easy forest animal masks, goodie bags, and cupcake picks that your kids will love.
Materials:
- Heavy white cardstock or lightweight poster board
- Thin (1/8 inch) elastic
- Cricut Sticker Paper
- White paper gift bags (for goodie bags)
- Toothpicks
Directions:
Create your cut design in Cricut Design Space or go directly to this project. I'm using the following cut designs included with Cricut Access:
- Bear Face #M2F3760A6
- Deer Face #M2F375FE6
- Fox Face #M2F376027
- Bunny Face #M2F37606D
The masks in the project are sized to fit a variety of ages with generous eye holes, though you can increase or decrease their size in Design Space as desired.
Measure the available space on your paper goody bags and size the bag stickers accordingly. My stickers are sized 4-5 x 4-5 inches to fit some off-white, handled gift bags measuring 5x8 inches that I bought from the dollar store.
The dessert picks are 2.5 inch circles cut from white sticker paper. I opted to cut my picks from self-adhesive paper for speedy no-glue assembly. But you can always substitute with your choice of scrapbook or cardstock paper and put them together using white glue or a tape runner.
Make the project. Draw all the designs using a black Cricut pen or your choice of pen. Cut the masks for coloring from heavy white cardstock or light weight poster board. Cut the goodie bag stickers for coloring from white sticker paper. Cut the cupcake or dessert picks from white sticker paper.
Masks
Let the kids color the masks using crayons or markers. Assemble the masks by punching a hole on either side of the mask at eye level using a hole punch. Cut a 12 inch length of 1/8 inch elastic and thread one end through each punched hole and secure with an overhand knot. Or use thicker 1/4 inch elastic and simply staple it to either side of the mask.
Goodie Bags
Peel the backing from the bag stickers and adhere them to your goodie bags. Let the kids color the bags using crayons or markers. I like to gift each child their own set of crayons to use and then take home in the finished bag.
Dessert Picks
I opted the use the pick stickers plain, but you could let the kids color them using markers if you'd like - we just don't want any crayon flakes to end up in the frosting:) Peel the backing from 2 cupcake pick stickers and sandwich a toothpick between them to add the picks to your dessert.
And there you have it! Hosting a DIY Kids Forest Animal Party has never been more delightful with the creative touch of a Cricut machine. The process of crafting charming forest animal masks, personalized goodie bags, and adorable cupcake picks is not only simple but also adds a unique and memorable element to the celebration. By involving the children in coloring and assembling these delightful party supplies, you not only create a fun activity but also ensure that each child leaves with a personalized and cherished party favor. Embrace the joy of crafting and make your next kids' party an enchanting forest adventure with these whimsical Cricut creations.
