Embarking on a family road trip is a thrilling adventure that promises unforgettable moments, new discoveries, and quality time spent together. Whether you're traversing scenic routes, visiting historic landmarks, or simply enjoying the freedom of the open road, capturing the spirit of your journey is essential. And what better way to do it than by creating personalized, one-of-a-kind T-shirts that reflect your family's unique road trip experience?

Materials

White Cricut Iron-On

Cricut Auto Press (or any heat press)

White T-shirt

Tie Dye kit

Weeding tools

My Co-Worker and amazingly talented friend Beth made this image for my trip to Niagara Falls

I went in and adjusted the size I wanted it to be on the shirts

Then I got to Tie Dying!

Don't do what I did, I would recommend putting a plastic tablecloth down to protect your table

It is a messy project but so much fun

This is how two of them turned out. We tie dyed 8 in total one for every person coming on the road trip.

Measure your shirt to make sure the image in Design Space is the size you want it to be

Now its time to "Make it"!

Make sure you mirror the image so that it reads correctly on your shirt

Cut your iron-on to the length of your Design and smooth it out

Once it is cut you are able to weed it

Place it on your shirt once it is all weeded

Since there were so many shirts to do I used an Auto Press and let me tell you, that is the way to go if you do a lot of shirts at one time. It is so quick and easy to set up and use! I put the heat at 330 degrees F for 25 seconds

Just pull the handle down and it will beep once it is time to lift the handle back up

I did all of the shirts twice just to be sure that the iron-on would not budge

Be sure to wait until the shirt has cooled before removing the plastic

Here is what one of them looked like all finished!

This was such a an awesome way to make this trip even more special
