Celebrate your love of crafting in style with this cozy sweatshirt! Perfect for a crafty mom, friend, or just yourself, this project uses Cricut iron-on on a light-colored sweatshirt. The saying, “In My Crafty Era,” is a playful nod to Taylor Swift’s recent tour - because every crafter deserves their moment in the spotlight. It’s a sweet gift idea for Mother’s Day, birthdays, or any day you want to show off your crafty vibes.

Adjust and Customize
Now it’s on your canvas! Resize the design to fit the size sweatshirt you are using. or otherwise tweak it however you want before sending it to cut.
Go ahead and create your project by cutting the design out of different colors of Cricut Everyday Iron-On. Have fun mixing and matching the colors to make your design really pop!

Carefully weed your iron-on vinyl to remove the excess material, using your Cricut weeding tools. Take your time to lift out the extra pieces so only your design remains on the backing sheet.

Follow the step-by-step instructions in Cricut’s Heat Guide or use the Cricut Heat App to apply your iron-on to the shirt. These guides will walk you through the right temperature, pressure, and timing to make sure your design sticks perfectly.

Plan Your Layers First
Before you start pressing, lay out all your pieces to see how they fit together. Think about which colors go on top and which go on the bottom - this will save you from surprises later.
Press Each Layer Separately
Don’t try to press everything at once. Apply one layer at a time, following the recommended temperature and time for that color.
Peel Carefully
Some layers need to be peeled warm, some cold - check the instructions for your specific vinyl. Take your time so you don’t lift any part of the design.
Use a Protective Sheet
Place parchment paper over your design while pressing. This protects your vinyl from sticking to the heat press or iron.

And that’s it! With just a little bit of layering and some fun iron-on vinyl, you’ve got a cozy, cute sweatshirt that shows off your crafty side. Whether you’re making it for yourself or as a gift for a fellow crafter, it’s sure to bring a smile - and maybe even a little “crafty era” confidence - to whoever wears it. Happy crafting!
